This page explains the cookies used on scotsmanpub.co.uk. A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. Some are required for the site to work. Others are optional, and we only use those if you allow them.
When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or reject optional cookies. Both choices are equally available. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page, or with the cookie button. Your choice lasts 6 months.
Essential cookies
These are used to remember your cookie choice, to confirm that a browser can run JavaScript, and to protect the staff login. They do not track you around other websites. The law allows us to use them without asking first.
Optional cookies
Statistics cookies would be used only if we add a visitor-measurement tool. We do not use one at the moment.
Marketing cookies cover optional embedded content. The homepage Instagram feed stays off until you allow marketing cookies. Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X and review feeds, if a page includes them, are held back in the same way. Rejecting them does not block the menu, the phone number or the contact form.
The table below is generated from the cookies configured on this site.
You can also block cookies in your browser settings. If you block every cookie, the banner cannot remember your choice and some parts of the site may not work.
For how we use personal information more generally, read the privacy policy. Questions: gastroscotsmanpub@gmail.com.
